Finding God’s Presence in Life’s Uncertain Moments
There are moments in life when time feels suspended.
What if? What next? How will I handle this?
And in those moments, peace can feel very far away.
A quiet waiting room.
A doctor’s appointment.
A test result.
A phone call you’re not sure you’re ready to receive.
The questions start to spiral. What if? What next? How will I handle this?
And in those moments, peace can feel very far away.

Where This Began
Not long ago, our founder Jennie Dodge sat in a mammogram waiting room feeling that same quiet anxiety so many of us know too well.
Then something simple happened.
A staff member handed her a small breast cancer awareness pillow with a tiny card attached.
It read:
“Just a simple way to show you God’s love.”
That single sentence changed everything.
but because she was reminded she wasn’t alone.
The test was benign, Praise be to God.
The hum of hospital sounds.
The weight of uncertainty.
The silent prayers.

It read:
“Just a simple way to show you God’s love.”
That single sentence changed everything.
The situation hadn’t changed.
The waiting hadn’t ended.
But peace entered the room.
Not because the outcome was certain —but because she was reminded she wasn’t alone.
The test was benign, Praise be to God.
What Is Peace in the Waiting?
Peace in the Waiting was born from that moment.
It exists to bring comfort, faith, and hope into hospital waiting rooms, treatment centers, and spaces filled with uncertainty.
Through thoughtfully designed prayer cards and small tangible reminders, we aim to:
Sometimes it arrives quietly — through a kind word, a prayer, or a simple card placed in your hands.

Through thoughtfully designed prayer cards and small tangible reminders, we aim to:
- Remind people that God meets them in the waiting
- Offer comfort during medical uncertainty
- Bring calm in moments of fear
- Show love in practical, meaningful ways

Why It Matters
Waiting rooms are sacred spaces.
They are filled with:
Each card we place is more than paper.
It is a reminder:
They are filled with:
- Unspoken fears
- Silent prayers
- Courage no one sees
- Faith being tested
Each card we place is more than paper.
It is a reminder:
You are seen.
You are loved.
God is here — even now.
Our Mission
To place tangible reminders of God’s presence into waiting rooms everywhere.
If even one person feels the peace Jennie felt that day —
then every card, every visit, every prayer is worth it.
If even one person feels the peace Jennie felt that day —
then every card, every visit, every prayer is worth it.
